Terms of Service

By accessing or using Chefs Lab (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Chefs Lab is a food management platform for recipe costing, ingredient and allergen tracking, menu engineering, and event planning. We may update, add, or remove features at any time.

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via PayFast. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds, if any, are at our discretion. Prices may change with reasonable notice.

• Do not misuse the Service or upload unlawful or infringing content.
• Do not attempt to access other users' data or interfere with security.
• You are responsible for any third-party personal information (e.g. supplier contact details) you store in the Service, and for ensuring you have the right to store it under POPIA.

You retain ownership of the recipes, ingredients, and other content you create. You grant us a licence to process it solely to provide the Service to you. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the information you enter.

The Service, its design, branding, and software are owned by Chefs Lab and protected by intellectual property laws.

The Service integrates with third-party providers (e.g. PayFast for payments). Their terms and privacy policies apply to the services they provide.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Costing and analysis outputs are estimates and should be verified independently before relying on them for business decisions.

To the extent permitted by law, Chefs Lab is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes and post the updated date above.

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. POPIA applies to any personal information processed through the Service.
